Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, Calem MacDonald was introduced to the film industry at an early age through his father, who worked as a camera operator. At just 15, he booked his first major TV co-star role on the CBC hit, "Mr. D," alongside Canadian comedian Gerry Dee. From there, Calem has exploded onto television with appearances in “Umbrella Academy,” MGM hit Horror Series “From,” and Netflix’s award-winning hit “Trailer Park Boys.” Calem was one of only ten international performers invited to participate in Scenebot’s 2018 Stage Live performance in Los Angeles In 2022, he made his big screen debut in “Kids vs Aliens,” which earned him an ACTRA nomination for Outstanding Performance. Soon after, he would earn Outstanding Performance for the role of Jason in the award-winning film “Night Blooms.”
In this next season of his career, Calem is working with up-and-coming directors and production companies across a series of short films while working as an aviation instructor.
